I am Amandine (Amanda) Ngakoue, and I'm running for Justice of the Peace Precinct 1, because every person deserves a court that is fair, respectful, efficient, and accessible.
I was born and raised in Cameroon, Central Africa. As an international student, I earned a full scholarship to pursue my education in Luxembourg, near Germany, where I gained valuable academic and cultural experiences. I relocated to Austin, Texas, in 2003 to join my husband and continue advancing my education and professional development. In 2014, I became a naturalized citizen of the United States of America. I earned my B.A.A.S. from Texas State University in 2015. My journey has given me a deep appreciation for hard work, perseverance, and the opportunities that come from serving and contributing to a community.

WHY I'M RUNNING?
EXPERIENCE
- I have been both plaintiff and defendant in small claims cases.
- I've sued tenants for vandalism and failing to pay their rent
- I've sued contractors for failing to honor their contract.
- I've been sued because a tenant failed to maintain my rental property
- I also have appeared before the Justice of the Peace Court for minor traffic violations
